It's starting to look like Bernie may get the nomination. Are the Unions going to endorse him over Trump? Wonder how the leadership will sell that to membership considering Bernie wants to take those Cadillac-health plans, replace it with Medicare-for-All, and raise taxes to pay for it. I imagine Union presidents are shitting themselves right now.

A collective bargaining agreement will become useless when they either don’t have a job, become a part time employee, or lose their private insurance. Most of them don’t even realize their insurance premiums have sky rocketed in the last 4 years due to Obozocare

The party leaders will toe the line. The rank and file will not.

Bernie has embraced both open borders as well as free housing, food stamps, and college for all illegals.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in those union halls when leadership tell the members to vote for Bernie.

Don't forget the energy unions he'd destroy.

Fill in the blanks. Too many permutations to do them all.

Unions love single payer because they won't have to balance negotiating coverage and wages. Makes their lives much easier. Workers will like it because most of them aren't making enough to be taxed more than they are currently paying in premiums, deductibles, and co-payments.

It's still amazing to me that people support this.

Talked to a guy today who knows the Operating Engineers leadership around here and they are probably not going to endorse anyone.

No way. There are a lot of good union health care plans out there. They don't want those eliminated.

These same people swear that decriminalizing illegal entry and residence in the US along with free benefits no matter your immigration status won't encourage the entire globe to flood the country.

Communists have a unique ability to completely ignore standard human behavior.

That's the only thing they have left to bargain for.

I am a member of the 4th largest private sector union in the US. Our leadership will endorse one of the nut job dems. I would bet more than half of the members will vote Trump.
Like rooster I have no premiums and a $20 co pay. I could make 6 figures I just chose not to work that much overtime. Frick single payer.

Trump 2020!

Union I work for gave Bernie 10 million in 2015. already a quiet storm brewing against him this time around. Be interesting to see what they do under dissenting pressure.

IBEW is saying Bernie won't get the dem nomination.

They're backing Biden.

I belong to the IBEW in Charlotte, but it doesn't matter to me who the leadership endorses. I'll vote how I want to vote.

I do know this: leadership is all Dem, 24/7. I have to keep my mouth shut around them, mainly so I don't have to get an earful of propaganda that they have bought into hook, line and sinker.
