This place used to be dominated by libertarians. Now it's dominated by Trumpkins who have very limited amounts of intellectual honesty. As Trump would say, some of them are good people I suppose.

Actually I’ve never been a moderate in the sense of being a country club Tuesday group type of republican. Those guys are losers and contribute to so many problems facing this country.

I’ve always been a socially moderate conservative associated with guys like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and want them to be POTUS and VP but I’ve always been grounded in reality, being pragmatic ignoring white noise that only distracts and winning the battles that we can win and knowing when to cut our losses with foolish fights that go nowhere.

I’m a reformed paleoconservative that’s very strict on immigration with a foreign policy that’s centered around American dominance but avoids regime change like the plague.

He was pretty good after the 2012 election and basically delivered the post Mortem post by post for the GOP after Mitt lost.

I remember a thread where he and SFP went at it for a few bouts about social conservativism in electoral politics and it was a good read.
