This is the no.1 issue with the secession argument, the demographics just don't work. The states that would have the balls to do it, all southern gulf states are also far and away the most minority populated. There is no way in hell blacks would allow their communities to get off of the government teet.

I would add most other depographics as well. If you had 20% of residents wanting to secede, that would be on the high end.

It's not just federal government. We're broke at the local level as bad if not worse. Nobody in politics is serving their constituents. They're all serving themselves.

North Dakota
