13 American soldiers just died from the direct result of Joe’s incompetence. In order to deflect and gain sympathy from the public, Joe interjects his son into the equation for no reason whatsoever. Beau Biden was a grown man who joined the Delaware reserve. As a lawyer . He wasn’t some 18-year-old kid sent off to fight. Joe pretends to sympathize with those parents who just lost their kids . He didn’t lose his son during the war. Beau wasn’t KIA, like Joe Kennedy Jr was. And it is very dubious as to whether or not he died as a result from anything he did while serving either.

Biden's been a liar his whole life. The only person who called him on it was John Sacco, Mike Dukakis's campaign manager. This was over his plagiarism of speeches in the " 88" democratic primaries.

Not only does Beau’s service have zero to do with the events in Afghanistan, but as mentioned before this isn’t the first time Joe has brought up his late son. ( I would think that a speech writer might be keeping tabs on such references and be mindful not to over play this sympathy angle. )
Beau did not die in service. Nor did he die as a result from his service, at least not that can be proven. Joe lost his eldest son, and that’s very painful. He also lost his first wife and daughter in a car wreck. I’m surprise he didn’t bring them up as well.

Sure. I was at Victory in 2006 and 2011. There were no burn pits.
Biden was part of a Signal Brigade supporting a 3 star command. That meant his headquarters was in an annex right next to the main palace and his living area was either about 2 miles away or at Camp Liberty near the PX.
He was there in 2008. The closest he was to a burn pit was in the same time zone.
I was near burn pits in 2003. The VA never rated me with respiratory issues, let alone brain cancer 18 years later.

I'm not questioning or debating on the potential hazards of the burn pits. But it sounds like Joe is jumping at the claims that others may have had and using that as why Beau got his brain cancer.
If true, why didn't 100's of 1000's not get brain or other types as cancer too? As Beau was there a scant 11 months.
Something any journalist could look into ( if they've not done so already ) and at least report the facts as they are.

There are some who are accurately stating that he was a JAG officer who spent 11 months at a cushy base. That is fact.

No one suggested his service as a JAG Officer or the fact...." was inadequate. In fact, people here are going out of their way not to diss Beau /his service. What is being said here is a criticism of Biden's use of his son's service / death for political gain. Biden is not so subtly comparing his son's death with the 13 military personnel who were killed in the act of duty. That is disgusting & has nothing to do with his son.

If Biden was told his son's death was service connected that illustrates the incompetence and outright corruption in the VA that Trump had to fix. There were no burn pits near or on the Victory Base complex in 2008...PERIOD.
