Not sure how you got any of that from my post. If you listen to War Room, you would hear EXACTLY how to handle the situation and it involves massive spending cuts and tax increases on million + income.

This post wasn't a debate on the bill.

Jokes aside.....nobody expected Elon to be a wallflower. And he was even less likely to actually understand the political nuances of his job. That's not why he's there.

Elon is a bull in a China shop. So is Trump. They are not subtle.

This country doesn't need surgical, careful changes. We need big changes and we can't be afraid to break a few eggs to make that omelet. If that means we need to partner with someone that doesn't 100% align with our beliefs....so be it.

They don’t actually “print” money.

And we should have voted for Kamala if you wanted to see inflation not come down.

Again, our other option was the person that would spend more and raise your taxes.

Crazy that so called conservatives and libertarians prefer that.

nobody is saying printing more money is the solution (except for the dems). the problem is Elon offers no alternative plan, just hollow words about how we need to cut more. the OBBB is about as good as it gets without touching Social Security and Medicare, which nobody has the balls to touch.

it’s also just wrong for Elon to publicly turn on Trump like this. Zero loyalty to a guy that has been incredibly nice to you.

No. But I'm also not a single issue voter. I'm not willing to give up dozens of good things for something that will have minimal effect. Even if the debt was reduced $2t with this bill, it would have very little impact in the grand scheme of things. I believe in being practical.

He's wrong about the bill. His DOGE cuts don't even equal the $1.6t cuts you guys complained wasn't enough. The bill also removes over $1t in subsidies. Why is this number never included in your deficit calculation?

Why are you willing to give up the chance at election security and border security for a problem that has been building for decades that no politician really wants to fix? You're giving up solid wins that will lead to even bigger wins for a pipe dream.

You are not going to get the cuts you actually want, and the people you praise, like Paul, are unwilling to compromise to even get us closer to there. You are giving up a lot of good things to pursue a fanciful dream that doesn't even live up to its own expectations.

Rand Paul is against the bill but has no solution. His "cut it all" approach is unrealistic. He has also been dishonest in his arguments. I have yet to see one person critical of the bill that actually presents valid, honest arguments for holding out. Everyone has relied on misinformation, ignorance, and cliches.

Why does that matter?

I've read on here quite a bit that conservatives are cucks and this is the new way.

THIS. It would have been great of the President had said: "I brought in Elon for his particular genius in efficiency. He accomplished phenomenonal things with DOGE, and the BBB is better for that. Elon and I disagree on the BBB, but I was elected by the American people to solve our immediate problems. The BBB is the best way to do that."

Instead, Trump had to make it personal...that Musk was against the BBB for selfish reasons.
