to you, hardcore maga is anyone that doesn't agree with your leftist values.

ALL ILLEGALS MUST BE DEPORTED.

What does it say to the world if we allow "the nonviolent ones" to stay? You are essentially saying, open borders are fine, as long as you aren't violent. And now, you are saying that the people that voted overwhelmingly for Trump, with the top issue being immigration, is ok with open borders. Get the frick out of here with this.

The time for a different method than ICE

I didn't say not to use ICE. I said how ICE is being used.

I'll just put it this way, ICE covering their faces isn't a good sign, both in terms of optics or public support. It's a heavy signal that how they were used may not have been the best, and the policy of covering faces is doubling down on the bad policy.

What is the more rational way to make people who dont want to leave go back to their country?

That's a bad framing. What's a more rational policy generally? Do what the admin said they were going to do and focus on the criminals and violent offenders first. That has MAJOR support of the public.

Watch the Megyn Kelly show. A you gov poll it's saying Trump is losing favor because of Minnesota and Venezuela. That CNN guy pollster that regretfully announces when Trumps doing excellent has shown he has dived in the polls.

Again, that same CNN pollster was saying 59% of the country was leftist. Not Democrat, but leftist.

Yes he should do it through legislation lol you mean the same legislature that wouldn’t codify even the most basic budget cuts, or the legislature that can’t even pass voter ID laws. You “rational independents” are nothing more than moderate Democrats who want nothing to change but claim you do

What you and someone else consider “rational” is extremely subjective

To an extent, sure, but in a democracy, being popular and being part of the general consensus matters a great deal.

I think the rational approach is to send in the national guard to escort ICE to rip every mother fricker from their house and deport them that is in this country ILLEGALLY. Anything less I would consider irrational

You're going to get the talking point that Congress isn't passing anything, ignoring how the Trump admin wanted the huge BBB last year and how they haven't been proposing shite for legislation, even after being shown the admin can/will with the healthcare policy reports yesterday

When are you going to realize that you are nothing more than a cartoon to this board masquerading as a moderate conservative? You are like a wounded animal that everyone feels sorry for then pats on the head as they walk by “awe it’s trying”

I imagine the vast majority of the country is fine with this policy.

Productive illegal aliens, especially if they're not on the dole are not hated by most people like you seem to.

Then he needs to use his power and influence to make them do it, that's not an excuse. Everyone agrees Congress are a bunch of lazy pieces of shite, but that doesn't mean that our structure of government simply goes out of the window.

I am neither, but nice ad hominem.

Well most “independents” do avoid extremism and the ICE thing is getting pretty extreme.

So probably time to scale it back even if for political concerns.

I'm not even a moderate conservative

Only people relying on strawmen or ignorance paint my views that way, especially being one of the few remaining capitalists in the era of Trump's leftist economic policies

Hows this not true, unless Indepedents loved watching that video of Renee Good and the Ice agent? every single poll shows that the approval rating is dropping, even if he's currently higher than 2nd term Bush and Obama.

who got wiped out in the midterms in their 2nd term.

Trump has no choice but to continue though

The US is not a democracy.

What’s emotional is obstructing ice agents from doing their jobs. Therefore the RATIONAL solution is to provide them with assistance to do said job. See how that works?

I don’t care if his approval is at 10%, the deportations need to happen. Do not cave to the political pressure.

I am a registered Independent and hold political views that are to the left of most people on this board and I support what ICE is doing.

The optics look bad because media is portraying it that way. They have to in order to generate clicks. No different than the weather man standing in the ditch during a hurricane to act like there is serious flooding.

All smoke and mirrors.

Yes, you are one of a handful of principled capitalists left lol that is why no one understands you. It couldn’t be your constant defense and playing the devil’s advocate of liberal policies while constantly criticizing Trump’s. It must be the principled capitalist inside you
