Asian groups come out in support of justice department affirmative action plan

Lee Cheng, the co-founder and director of the Asian American Legal Foundation, spoke to The Daily Caller News Foundation about his hope that the DOJ will now be a partner in the fight against race-based policies in college admissions.
“Now there is a voice in DC that we can appeal to. There’s an administration and there are people at the federal government level who want to enforce civil rights as they were meant to be enforced, which is to protect individual rights of all Americans regardless of race. So we view that as certainly a very positive development,” Cheng told TheDCNF. “We absolutely intend to keep an eye on the development of schools across the country and where we find discrimination under the euphemism of affirmative action we would definitely let the DOJ know that they should investigate.”

“Asian Americans who have never discriminated against anybody in America find themselves on the short end of the stick where in the name of diversity and in the name of affirmative action we end up having to score higher, achieve more in order to get the same access to opportunities as other Americans just because of our race. And that’s wrong,” he said to TheDCNF.
Cheng hopes the DOJ memo signals a potential push to transparency in the college admissions process. By schools revealing their college admissions records, Cheng believes that poorer college applicants might stand a greater chance in the enrollment process.
“I have hope that the DOJ will force schools to let the public see what the schools have been doing. The schools have been denying for years that they discriminate. They won’t let anyone see their admissions records,” he said to TheDCNF.
Just as a reminder:

Asian Americans have the lowest acceptance rate for each SAT test-score bracket. To gain admission to college, Asian-American students had to score 140 points higher than white students, 270 points higher than Hispanic students, and 450 points higher than black students.

But it's black parents telling their kids "you have to work twice as hard"

just a bold faced lie.
Asians are incredibly racist and discriminate regularly.

How much higher do Asians have to score to get into Ivy League schools than Jews?

So much more well spoken than when the Naacp leaders come out in support of something

Well, yea. These kind of groups are discriminatory by nature. All of them. It's just the asians turn to be on offense.

Silly asians, you aren't REAL minorities. You're too successful. You're just dark tinted white folk.

They have no institutional power therefore they can't be racist by definition. You're starting to forget the rules here.

quote:Wow what are the odds that it's the same group, it's almost like it exists solely so white people can cite them to yellow-wash their insecurities.
The Asian-American community is served by numerous civil rights and legal aid organizations that started to form in the 1970s. This legal apparatus has historically lined up to defend affirmative action.
The last time the Supreme Court took up the issue, in 2003, at least 28 different Asian-American advocacy groups signed onto briefs in defense of the University of Michigan Law School's use of race in admissions. Only the San Francisco-based Asian American Legal Foundation, a group formed specifically to fight racial preferences, opposed the Michigan policy.

We love our state-sanctioned discrimination don't we folks?

What the heck is the deal there?

Wow, of the 29 Asian American groups, only one is in favor of Asian Americans getting accepted to college for equal performance to whites.
Weird.
Weird.

Since the 1980's the Asian population has been at the receiving end of unbelievably unfair government-sanctioned discrimination. Every high-achieving Asian HS student in America knows precisely how this works, and why their higher achievement must yield to an incredibly lower achievement by blacks and latinos.
