1) Hillary's bought-and-paid-for DNC wanted to get some dirt on Trump and use it in the campaign.

2) The DNC hired Fusion to get that dirt.

3) Fusion hired an ex-MI6 British spook, Steele, with knowledge of and ties to Russia to get that dirt.

4) Steele happens to hate Trump with a passion.

5) Steele contacts a Russian counterpart and tells him what he wants to get on Trump.

6) The Russian counterpart, with the full blessing of Putin who would like nothing more than to sow disarray and suspicion throughout the U.S. electoral process, concocts a "prostitutes peed on Trump" story and gives it to Steele.

7) Steele gives the story to the FBI/DoJ guy, Ohr, who happens to also hate Trump, who then leaks the phony story to the U.S. press to make it more believable to more people.

8) The FBI/DoJ uses the made up story and press reports about Trump to get FISA warrants to surveil Trump campaign workers even though the FBI/DoJ knows the story came from a known hater of Trump and was likely a phony story that was paid for by the Clinton-controlled DNC.

9) The FISA judge is not told the Russian story was likely phony.

10) Democrats accuse Trump of working with the Russians to steal the election when, in fact, it was the Dems who knowingly indirectly colluded with Russians to rig the election against Trump using phony information.

11) The real winner of all this silliness is Vladimir Putin.

Or, Americans are the winners as they use this to reform FISA?

The real winner is the American people. Lies and corruption flourish in the shadows.

This is a good first step.

The loser is the American people because no one will pay for what they did.

You've outlined the real Russian collusion.

And Mueller's overpaid legal staff.

All of that is probably right.

But to completely speculate without evidence:

I think the FISA court probably rubber stamped this, knowing Page's history as a target for the Russian IC, but knowing that they needed something theoretically plausible and current to base the warrant on. In other words, they probably knew they were being fed shite but because they knew of Page's past, they took it at face value.

Probably the most accurate summation of this event I've seen here.

And, to make it even better, it came from a man named LSURussian.

Falls a bit short when we factor in the initial denial by FISA. Page's past wasn't the tipping point, it was the dossier that was presented during the second request.

So do you think the judge was compromised as well?

Again, I'm speculating, but I'm not sure that is necessarily true.

If I'm the DOJ, I go in and seek FISA warrants for four people, and the FISA court gives me a wink and says you don't have enough, narrow the focus and come back.

Page has a sketchy background and maybe I've already presented that to the Court in the first run. I hone in on him and his role, and either have or go get the dossier to bolster my argument. The Court just needs cover to give me what I want, and the dossier provides that.

My argument here is that there may be a temptation to play up how the DOJ misled the FISA court, and I question if that's really the case. That doesn't let DOJ off the hook, rather it lumps the FISC in with them.

We will never know the name of the FISA judge who issued the warrants and I don't know if he or she can be compelled to testify but damn, you opened a can of worms with that speculation.

I don't know that I'd say compromised, but partially culpable maybe.

Similar to how when cops and prosecutors and the like get rung up for overreaching conduct in the context of criminal prosecutions, the idea that judges don't know how that stuff works is ridiculous.

Page is a nobody according to Trump, secondly, he was not a campaign worker at the time the warrant was procured

Who else are you referencing?

Don’t forget about the FBI Director’s brother working for the law firm that handles the taxes of the Clinton Foundation while this FISA warrant is being sought.

They also unmasked other transition officials swept up in normal foreign surveillance, then leaked this to the media.

All felonies.
