It’s a choice between 2 people. One was VERY disliked which made it an easier decision to vote for grandpa who wasn’t nearly as disliked.

Why didn’t they all “vote against Trump” like that in 2016? It’s not like the media and left hadn’t already been on him hard with the same type stuff leading up to 2020 election.

Hillary was presumed to be an easy win and Trump wasn’t nearly as hated in 2016 as he was in 2020.
For me personally, I thought he was entertaining in 2016. I didn’t grow to dislike him until later. Many more are in that same boat.

The 16 election was RIGHT on the heels of pussygrabgate and numerous claims of sexual harassment/assault, sexism, racism (Obama birth certificate, Central Park 5), and endless other character assassination. There was no shortage of reasons proposed by the left to despise Trump, much like the lead up to ‘20. Overlay the possibility of the left’s (the entire left, voters included) other holy grail, the first female President being right there within reach…..no real problem for Trump then, yet record breaking problem in 2020? While at the same time luring even millions more new voters in 2020? He should have had every bit of difficulty in 2016 as he appeared to have in 2020.
So just in my opinion, those things don’t reconcile in a way that summons serious doubt.

I totally see where you’re coming from. Just speaking about me personally and what I observed from others. Even the sexual harassment stuff was just kinda laughed off in 2016…again probably because nobody thought he actually had a shot. He was taken much more seriously in 2020.

OJ’s acquittal still stands all these years later as well. I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes bad results happen, and they remain that way, permanently. Doesn’t necessarily mean said result/conclusion was the correct one though.

Trump won 19 of 20 bellweather counties. A county becomes a bellweather, when their voting patterns match what historically reflects the national results
No president has lost when gaining popular votes from his previous election. In fact, Obama won re-election with less popular votes from his 1st election
Trump was the first president to lose while his party added double digit seats in the House. 7M people simply did not vote a Republican ticket, only to then vote Biden at the top. They simply would have left the prez portion blank
And the most telling stat is that Biden got 29% more votes than the previous winning candidate. 29%! The population only increased 10% during that span, and not all of them were of age to vote. There simply wasnt enough people out there to increase Trump by 12M, plus Biden a whopping 29% more than Trump. Turnout was 56% in '16. That jumped to 67% in '20. Even Obamas exciting elections only brought out 58 and 55% of voters. Joe did not enthuse 2 out of 3 American voters to turn out. Didnt happen
But just notice how the next non-Trump election drops back into the mid 50s for turnout. That should convince you that the mythical 67% was manufactured in the data systems
