What would it be if Cali had to come up with their own currency? With nothing to back it. I'm not picking at you and understand what the point of your post is. I keep seeing some more brazen posters bring this up without understanding their playing with house money.

Not that I've ever thought about it very hard, because it won't happen but for shits and gigs.

The American dollar is worth 1.00 dollar because we say it is. As of 2016, 53 Fortune 500 companies are HQ'd out of Cali alone, but in this scenario it's guaranteed that Washington is going to go with California. Microsoft, Apple, Amazon: these all become exports TO the 48-ish States of America (more than they already are in some cases).

This essentially creates a bidding war between 48USA and China. So I guess my response is, they could just play with China's house money?

China send Cali water and protection assets, we sell to them cheaper than we sell to the USA.

Cali gets their LaLa immigration policy wet dreams, it's a sanctuary annex of China/Mexico, and they don't have to "come up with their own currency".

Again, Not that this would happen.

it depends on the demographic you're counting
not the white population...but the Asian and Latino families are still growing by leaps and bounds...blacks are being aborted big time by planned parenthood..

Reasonable people like yourself need to take your State back from the loons who control your politics. California is on the path to disaster if your politics maintain their current direction. You will tax yourselves out of relevance where business will be forced to relocate to other locations.

The interesting thing is that every person I know who migrated to California has eventually became a liberal. I really don't get it.

I am a lifelong Floridian. Ther are a lot of similarities between the two states but, Florida is quite conservative. It is very affordable, vibrant and growing here. We are the opposite of California in many ways. Just like California, we have some very liberal areas but, we have not allowed them to control our politics.

Lol. California >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Florida.

I've seen it in a handful of threads. Neither side can/wants a secession.
California is a top 10 GDP in the world by itself, yet we can't even provide our own water. It bothers me that people even mention this as a possibility.

Having said that, I live in San Diego County. I've never seen a protest. Never been targeted because I am white, I've never seen a single ICE agent, nor have I heard anyone talk of succession. Just prissy democratic office banter.

Just wanted to let you know, it's not a lawless land.

Based on my experiences there (Southbay area of L.A. county) I'd say the same.

And it would be a terrible idea even for the few idiots that want it. So now you would be neighboring one of the most conservative countries on the planet that has the most capable military in the world. We'd just conquer California and take it back almost immediately after.

If you've been keeping up with what Soros,Obammer, and company have been up to in the Ukraine, then you would better understand why California has been targeted by our enemies...jmho

I've spent a good bit of time in Cali--mainly San Diego (Navy). I think it's the shite aside from the cost of living.

It's the best place to live and visit in America if cost is not an issue.

But the economics of the state are not sustainable.

It's an absolutely horrible place to do business; it's the France of the United States in that sense. It succeeds, somewhat, in spite of itself.

The wealth dispersion (both ways) is becoming breath-taking in much of the state. You have areas that quite literally resemble the third world (as much as anywhere in America) and then the nicest places on the planet all within a 100 miles of each other in the same state. It's a natural consequence of their tax policy and the rampant rent-seeking all throughout the state. The middle class is getting squeezed in California probably more than anywhere else in the country.

Victor Davis Hanson, though he has his faults, has articulated this about California probably better than anyone else out there.

Not how I see it at all. Again, California would have to convince all of these companies to basically fund this new country and all of their liberal policies. On top if that, all of the conservatives would move. California would also have to build a military from scratch. There is no chance that US soldiers and equipment are just going to go to bed a US soldier one night and wake up the soldier of a new country the next morning. Cali would go belly up in days and then we would have to clean up the mess. It's not ever going to happen. This is sabre rattling from Dems that want to energize their voter base. Nothing more.

Met the wife 40 mi south of Fairfield in '84, certainly not leftist/liberal folks around there. Reagan posters all over the place and generally conservatives that we spoke with.

Are SJW's just the offspring of white Americans witnessing their becoming the minority and just folded to the democrat victim indoctrination programs?
