The reason Gingrich left aside from his bogus deal was the fact that it became common knowledge that he was horndogging it with Calista. Actually he had been shtooping her since about 1994. Word out was that Dick Armey walked in on them while in the throes.
It was well known that Livingston was getting serviced by any number of women.....mostly call girls for years whether it was at the office or at a hotel room. Jeannette Maier the Canal Street madam got a sweet pay off to keep her mouth shut about it. His infidelities were an open secret for years.
Personally, I have no problem with it .

Don't act holier than thou. So many of our conservative and liberal "heroes" screw around on the job. You'd have to close down most federal courthouse if you held federal judges to this standard. Hell, Congress could not operate if you held Reps and Senators to this standard

Happy to get a Trump appointee but I honestly dgaf if a judge fricks in her chambers. I’m sure there are some very good jurisprudential reasons to want her off the bench though.

You want some sort of saint or something? What do you care if they are getting serviced on their lunch break in chambers? This has been happening for a loooooong time. Half of the district judges at the Eastern District in New Orleans would have an "in chambers" back in the 90s.

I don’t. I care she lied repeatedly to the disciplinary committee. I care that she violated judicial ethics rules. I care she was attending political fundraisers. I care she was sleeping with an officer that testifies in her court.

She wasn't just screwing around, nerd. She was having sex in her chambers with everyone there, screaming her head off for everyone to hear... unashamed, not even trying to hide it, daring anyone to do anything about it. Then lied about it when it was blatant what was going on.
