That’s plausible. It’s also plausible that they thought the corpse was him at first and only found out later, then not wanting to release the info to avoid embarrassment. Same mindset that led to the Chernobyl disaster and coverup.

Yes they were.


I posted they located him in 1960 while bringing in Eichmann. He went underground when that was made public.

He was tracked in Paraguay Argentina and Brazil.


And just because Mengele drowned in Brazil, that doesn't mean Hitler fricking escaped and live his life out in Argentina.



There have been two type of people that believe Hitler escaped posting.

One group believes the US and Israel knew where Hitler was and did nothing about it. (Highly Unlikely)

The other group says the US and Israel didn’t know where he was, but they, a random internet poster, knows for sure Hitler was in Argentina. (Even less likely)

And he was able to visit Europe under his own name and openly work for Mengele Farm Equipment because he was seen as just another Nazi and not a priority. It was years before anyone actually looked at those records and he became widely known as the "angel of death". Israel might have known a bit of it but no one had a clue about the scale of what he had done.
