Parks are part of the closed areas here.

Can still run on sidewalks, not through parks tho

Only reason for closing parks I can think of is to prevent folks from fleeing inner cities and setting up camp in the parks. Why else would they close up something where there is no fresher air in the country that government claims we need to be getting plenty of during this time?

But some acreage and you won’t need to go to a park

So what you’re saying is you don’t run very often.

Same here. Sucks. And I agree it is stupid.

I thought it would have been a great idea to get the tent and set up office in a state park near a lake and good cell reception so I could set up my wifi. Nope.

I’m an avid runner. I haven’t seen the cops harass folks before though.

They put stickers on the ground in Addison to tell you to stay 6 feet away.

Depends on what kind of park you are talking about. Lots of concern for park employees and gateway communities. Most of these communities don’t have much for healthcare facilities.

Ran in the park today. No cops and there's a station inside the park

Nobody wants this other than the ones that want to tank the OMB. Early, though, they learned that this virus lives several days on some surfaces. Schools are closed. Kids go to the park. Kids go home and infect mamaw. Makes good sense to me.

Articles I read were relating to national parks and people coming from various locations and not knowing their health status. The articles say it's about protecting their employees but that doesn't hold a lot of water with me when cops and medical personnel are facing it head-on every day.
