40 year old is first death in Florida. Saw 2 articles early in the New York outbreak where two relatively young (I think 40-50) lawyers who were gay passed.

Lawyers generally aren’t gay so I have a hard time believing the whole premise of the story

I know someone who went to the Winter Party who has tested positive. I think are 10 or so now showing positive. This is an almost week-long festival, though, that brings in thousands from all over the world. The signature party of the weekend, the actual Winter Party on the beach usually has 5,000 + alone. I don't think the number of confirmed positives is any higher compared to other big events that were held right before this blew up.

If they had untreated, underlying medical conditions.
HIV+ but on treatment and undetectable means you're at no increased risk.

"According to an extensive study of the homosexual community in Vancouver, B.C., active participation in the homosexual lifestyle will rob an individual of a significant portion of his life span. Say the researchers, "[L]ife expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men." In fact, they observe that participation in the homosexual lifestyle knocks life expectancy for a Canadian male back to what it was in 1871."
So I really wouldn't draw a lot of conclusions based on that.

They obviously didn’t listen to their dumbass mayor who had a press conference to curb people’s appetite for rim jobs.

If they’re in a predominantly Muslim area, absolutely they’re at high risk of death.

Merely being "G" is likely a risk factor for HIV, all by itself, so, objectively I have to say yes, however hateful or spiteful or bitter that might be.
ETA: To be clear other voluntary/involuntary factors are likely higher - smoking, COPD, age, other chronic respiratory disorder, cancer, etc. - than merely being gay.
