Are we rollin' down hill like a snowball headin' for hell?

With no kind of chance for the Flag or the Liberty Bell?

Is the best of the free life behind us now, are the good times really over for good?

As far as us and our children are concerned? IMO yes.

I'm sure given enough time shite will get sorted out. But I think it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Let's make a Ford and a Chevy last 10 years like they should (can't - unions won't let them)

Uh yeah, um... Pretty much for good if it continues unchecked at this rate...

I remember being a kid during the Carter years and hearing my parents worry about inflation, cost of gas which would seem like a joke to us now, and the cost of food. We were a family of 7, my mom stayed at home and I remember she started cooking casseroles to save money feeding 5 kids.

One of the biggest difference between then and now that I remember, everyone was still proud to be Americans. I asked my parents, RIP, about this years later and even though they didn't support Carter, they knew he was in over his head, and knew that better days were ahead.

I'm sorry to say, I don't have their confidence. I really don't know that better days are still ahead, but I will forever remain proud to be an American.

My 2001 Silverado 1500 is still my daily driver. She's rougher than she used to be and has 220k on the old ticker, but still damn skrong with original engine and transmission and consistent 50 pounds oil pressure. I've had to replace the alternator and starter twice, and had the front end replaced because those older front ends just weren't made for 20s. Also had to replace carrier bearing once as well as thermostat.

Everyone I know with a 2012 or newer 1500 has already either had major repairs done or altogether replaced them.

I'll drive mine until there's nothing left of her.

eh, it always breaks. It's the 4 sided cycle. It'll just take a generation for hard men to make good times.

When you look back you'll think of these days as the good old days, before everything went to shite

We'll eventually pull ourselves out and things will be much better as we're going to shed a lot of dead weight

I'm starting to legitimately get worried.

Going to buy more silver and gold like I always do when I get anxious about our shitty government.

My dad and I have been saying for 15-20 years that it will take a bloody revolution to fix the wrongs in this country. When you have 90-95% of those in charge that are corrupt and hell bent to make it worse for you then there is no other choice. You can't elect your way out of this disaster, 2020 has proven elections will never be fair, ever.
