No idea about aliens but pretty sure that most Democrats are demons or at least controlled by them.

Hugh Ross in a highly accomplished astrophysicist and scientist. After reading 3 of his books (he has many), it is easy to understand his following. The guy has broad expertise and really understands all the arguments.

I’ll argue a little and also support you with you. It comes from a root of “knowledge” or “knowing”. In some circumstances I can see it also referring to a “teacher” as one with knowledge.

In Homer’s Iliad he used daimon interchangeably with theos. Daimon referred to any divine being in Aeolic and Ionic Greek (several hundred years before the destruction of the Jerusalem temple).

Some of the Daemons/demons/daimons were the sons of the god (bene ha elohim) from Genesis 6 who came down to earth from heaven to rape the beautiful human women which created a race of superhuman Nephilim.

Abruptly in Genesis 6:5 the text moves on to the wickedness of men and how God has to destroy all of his creation in a flood.

How did those men become so wicked? The book of 1 Enoch fills in the gap. The daimons not only created the Nephilim but also gave mankind divine knowledge like metallurgy and how to make weapons and make war. The imperfect creator screwed up letting his sons corrupt mankind, so he decided to kill them all in a flood. That’s the story.

Why are demons portrayed as almost always bad or evil in New Testament literature and in pop culture today? Demons have the knowledge. Knowledge is bad.

What couldn’t Adam and Eve eat to obtain? Knowledge. Why did god flood the earth in Noah’s time? Because man had too much knowledge. What didn’t God want the people to have in Babel when they were building the tower (to invade heaven??? :-) ) He didn’t want them to be able to share knowledge, and wanted to keep them dumb and ignorant, as has always been his plan.

There were more scrolls of 1 Enoch found in Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls) than any other scroll. The Qumran sect held it in high regard. The second temple Jewish religion/cult created by the Persians denied 1 Enoch as divinely inspired so it isn’t in their canon today.

If anyone here thinks that the religion of Israel and Judea were uniform in the second temple period, they are mistaken.

Modern scholarship considers 1 Enoch a proto-Christian text. If you want to understand Paul’s worldview… read 1 Enoch. It’s part of the Ethiopic Christian church’s canon (they were outside the influence of the Romans, so their copies weren’t burned).

It’s clear that Paul acknowledges the existence of demons. In this verse “God” is referring to a particular divine being “Theos” which is Jesus’ father. The other divine beings are being called demons.

For even more on the topic of divine knowledge, read “the Nature of the Rulers” aka “Hypostasis of the Archons” which is a text found in Nag Hammadi Egypt and dates to about 400 but scholars know that it is a copy of a earlier text from around the turn of the millennium to around 200CE. The Archons (Rulers) are demons who rule over the earth. (Archangel same root)

A Demon is aware of its evil choices. At least half of our population can’t be demons because they elects Joe Biden; or at least supported the steal. That is proof of ignorance and the improbability that they are demons. Led by Demons is another issue.
