You still owe restitution and court fees as a result of your sentence, and have no intention of paying them?

Don't sweat it...you can still vote!

If they haven't fulfilled their sentence, apparently not. Just because they are still doing time on paper, it doesn't mean their "time" is served. A parolee hasn't finished their "time" until all sentencing guidelines are met.

Ex Felons should be allowed to vote. This is exactly what Taxation without representation was about. It did not say anything about criminal background.

Ex felons that haven’t paid their dues should not vote until they do. Too sane?

I'm fine with removing voting rights for those who are serving their sentence but I believe that all rights should be restored once you've "paid your debt to society". This should include gun rights, too.

That's the point. They have not fulfilled the requirements of their sentence. Therefore, they are not "ex-felons" yet.

Does that apply to the 2A also?

As many as 1.6 million Florida felons who have completed their prison sentences could regain voting privileges under Amendment 4.

2016 FL Votes:
Trump 4,617,886
Clinton 4,504,975
All Others 297,178

FL GOP voters better not rest easy in November, gonna need to fight off one hell of a push of votes who weren't around 4 years ago

None of these frickers pay their debt to society. Do they give back what they've stolen? Do they unbeat their wives? Do they unrape their victims? Do they restore life to those they killed in a drunken accident? No, they don't. They don't deserve certain rights.

I actually agree with you in terms of justice not being served in regards to what I believe they owe for their crimes. However, according to the law of the land, justice is being served when they complete their sentences.

To me, the problem isn't with the felons getting their rights back when they are set free, but that the felons aren't getting the proper sentences for their crimes.

They are still ex-felons, that are off probation, paying off dept like normal Americans. They get out and have no money so they set up payment plans to pay off the court fees.

I had too much cannabis on me at one time. Are you saying I don’t deserve certain rights?

While I agree with you, it is the will of the people in that state.

that the implementation of Amendment 4 – approved overwhelmingly by voters in 2018 to allow most felons who served their time to regain the right to vote
