Why would you need to ban someone twice?

I'm thinking because a liberal court overstepped it's reach. Most political pundits believe it will be overturned for exactly that reason.....so, that would be why it would need to be done twice.
Umm, yeah, that was my point. He hasn't banned them at all, as the original poster pointed out.

Oh, and good job of spinning it to a left/right issue. Extra points for you.

Oh, that's right. I keep forgetting that game you children like to play - if you aren't a Repbulican then you are obviously a Democrat. You kids are so cute.

My side is America. You wouldn't understand, kid. You're still playing silly childish games.

One day, when you get a little older, maybe you'll understand.

a tweet from an nbc producer with no attributable quote.

but let's assume it's true the only tax cut that you could give the middle class that would mean anything would be to cut their social security withholding because that's the only tax they pay.

family of four earning median income pays practically 0 federal income tax.

median income 52k, standard deduction 12.6k, 4 exemptions at $4,050.00 per.

the amount they pay tax on assuming no further deductions is $23,200.00 wow

let's go to the tax table johnny!

the amount they owe is $2,549.00

but wait! there's more......tell em what else they get johnny!

CHILD TAX CREDITS.........WORTH $2,000.00!

MEANING THEIR TOTAL MAXIMUM FEDERAL INCOME TAX BURDEN IS $549.00!

now you tell me how do we cut that in a way that would mean anything to them?

Interesting things I learned yesterday: Wizard of Oz has anti-populist subtext. Ok so it's liberal populism, but relevant. Yellow Brick road is the gold standard, the slippers were originally silver, there's more, I forget.

Nobody made him promise to call a special session of congress on day one of his presidency (seriously, look it up) to repeal the ACA. That's on him.

But then, "it's and incredibly complex and vast law and repealing it in one day is a legislative nightmare that could literally kill people and also we don't have a better plan so we'll just fudge it and hope the voters blame the other team" just isn't as sexy.

Trump's proposed tax plan (as presented during the general election) would actually RAISE TAXES by 5% among many upper middle class while cutting the top brackets or keeping them the same

Rates would maybe go up but with the massive increase in the standard deduction he proposed taxes for virtually every single person in the middle class would go down drastically.

Well, you're 0 for 3 on that so far.

I'm actually okay with intervention in N. Korea.

Kim will very likely nuke South Korea and maybe Japan if we do that. You're OK with it?

I want new infrastructure spending that everyone can agree on, and I want fewer government regulations on business. That's literally all we want.

What about fewer Muslims and illegals and no war in the middle east?

No way in hell are Republicans going to agree to spend money on infrastructure unless it's in their district/state.

And when have you ever seen a fricking dime of government spending that "everyone can agree on"?

quote:

I want fewer government regulations on business

Such a vacuous statement. If there are specific regulations that are not needed, then we should get rid of them. If there are others that we need but don't have, we should implement them. It's not about some silly arbitrary total number that is too high or too low. Just saying we need fewer regulations is meaningless without specifics about which ones need to go.

his proposed standard deduction is 30k but he gets rid of exemptions. right now a family of 4 with the standard deduction of $12,600 and 4 exemptions at $4,050 per starts out of the gate with $28,800.00 in deductions and exemptions.

the middle class doesn't pay income taxes with the exception of social security that's the only thing you could cut that would have any impact.
