Well, that tends to be the results when you go full Warsaw on a minority community and remove their rights and their property from them. And then what happens to the food and water supply of the 5.8 million people you ship back to an island of a population of 3.7 million? Where are they going to be sheltered? What happens once you then remove them from our government's tit? I think I'm being extremely conservative when I put low number at 100,000 dead and think the results would be closer 7 figures. All you're proposing is an islandwide Holocaust whether you know it or not.

A slow repatriation process over the course of 5-10 years would allow for the proper construction of the infrastructure needed to support an influx of people. Couple this with a one time investment from the US to help build this infrastructure as well as a severance payment to individuals and Puerto Rico might actually become a functioning state if they could cut out the corruption. Of course we could always just let them and the rest of their friends from south of the border continue to flood the country and allow us to become another Brazil but hey as long as its done democratically right?

So how does this work?
Any one of Puerto Rican descent goes even if born here? What if you only have one Puerto Rican parent? Does it matter if you were born on the mainland or in PR? Would there be some sort of means test? Does this severance payment vary based on your current level of income?
Don't just bemoan the lack of action by the government. How would you get this done?

Not good enough. What you're proposing is adding 160% to the island's current population. If the US added 160% to it's own population almost overnight, how could the system not be completely overwhelmed and many millions die? And the current people who live there would be the minority. Sorry these might be little inconveniences your horrific vision, but yes hundreds of thousands if not millions would die if we went down your evil path. Sorry, it's evil, plain and simple.

It's because he doesn't have two braincells to rub together to not think this shite through. With his plan 100 questions immediately come to mind, all of them horrific. But they're just little inconveniences to his plan. Just infrastructure itself is an impossibility, not to mention how sickening the thought of ripping families apart. Seriously, if I were married to a Puerto Rican woman who has never lived in Puerto Rico and had 3 had half Puerto Rican children, are they going off to Gulags in the Gulf? He's either extremely stupid or extremely evil to have these thoughts.

Realistically what I am proposing is for people who have arrived here in the last 15 or so years and their children. I would give people who have Puerto Rican ancestry or a parent the option to take the payment and leave but wouldnt force them. The severance would be a one time lump sum of equal amounts for all of them in keeping with their socialist beliefs, probably around 75-100,000 per family (more than the Median income for their families) with a different compensation structure for individuals.

I'm not even going into all that.
Given that he blasted legislative inaction earlier, I'm genuinely curious how he would go about doing this if he were in a position to act. Forgetting all the legal hurdles, of course.

So my Puerto Rican wife arrived here 14 years ago, we got married, had 3 kids, and hell let’s say she’s a conservative for the sake of the argument. She and the kids are now being shipped off the Auschwitz Island?

So AOC has the option to stay?

Exactly. The one person he’s trying to get rid of he fails to do it. This is why we are telling you Nigel that you have not remotely thought this through. The details to your plan are important.

It's a good thing I'm outside that 15 year window because less than one year's salary doesn't move my needle.
