support the local restaurants because some cook food from scratch and the service is usually better. But they can't compete with corporations in tough times. I would rather they survive than places like McDonalds who serve poison and has given me some bad stomach aches.

You forget McDonald’s franchises. Your neighbor might own one, and he might employ your neighbors kids, your other neighbor might do hvac work for them, my old neighbor cleaned hoods, which includes franchises.

Some of y’all don’t understand the money these bring in for a lot of people. The truck drivers that deliver food. The pest control guy, garbage pick up. It goes on and on.

Plus, those places aren’t safe either.

And this doesn’t have to be McDonald’s it could be any franchise or any restaurant with multiple locations.

And they pay rent, taxes, utilities, insurance.

Seriously, just stop and think what it takes to run a business.

Other than changing the trajectory of an election, THIS was the most important, intended outcome of releasing Covid for those who politically weaponized Covid. Big Business is owned by DC, they dance to DCs tune. Small business has been giving them the finger for a century

The harvest and subsequent planting seasons are going to be rough.

This isn't going to get better any time soon.

Entirely misses the point. On purpose.

Everything goes back to removing Trump from office. Not even 2 years ago we were a prosperous nation even in the midst of a plandemic.

This isn’t your normal market correction or recession. We’ve inflated this economy through gov’t manipulation since 2008. It’s a house of cards.

the big sign in front of his seafood restaurant that announced EBT ACCEPTED!

I avoid places that advertise this.

Quite a few places around here ruined when they started letting them use EBT in restaurants.

Five local joints that I frequent have closed within the last six months...

Two the owners were old enough to retire and did so...

The other three it was a combination of rising food prices, rising labor prices, and not being able to find folks to work...
