Cool. I love when idiots out themselves as supporting the largest terrorist government in the world (that also murders tens of thousands of their own population in the streets). It's a great look for them to support that.

POTUS tired of everyone calling the shots from the grandstands. This move makes everyone play ball. China and those dependent on Iranian oil will start to feel it first. I hope they search and seize all those drone parts coming from Temu because you know Iran can't manufacture all those parts themselves. That kind of mass production is coming from China, Russia, and North Korea.

Political chess is strategy and taking out Venezuela oil now Iran’s oil is rather stronger than it looks. Agreeing to a ceasefire then negotiating knowing failure was guaranteed covers squawking from naysayers that he wasn’t looking to end it. Getting rid of a nuclear Iran is the foremost issue in the world as it is the incubator of much of the world’s problems. Dealing with it and shoving Chinese world domination views up their arse is a win / win

as Pakistan was the "moderator" here we need to press them to be allowed to stop all rail and other traffic going to and from China and Iran in a similar way as well.

I feel out of the loop - how is a blockade devastating for Iran?
Is the idea that Iran cant collect tolls?
Iran thought they could stop all traffic except those that are friendly to them. Trump said nope, if US and friendly interests don't get through, no one gets through. Now we see who hurts the most the fastest and talks or beats some sense into Iran.

No kidding right. Hit all the RR tracks going out of Iran. That will add up quick.

Certainly not for the U.S. and to claim otherwise is asinine.
For Europe, yes, to some extent.
For Asia, China especially, to more of an extent ... perhaps. The U.S. will supply Japan and South Korea.
Iran will not endure long enough for it to have a lasting affect on anyone but it will definitely test some countries.

Isn't that considered a part of infrastructure?

We will see how far we actually go with this blockade if it's tested. If a Chinese ship decides to test it do we capture it and risk China getting involved? If we don't capture it does that risk other countries trying to run the blockade as well?

Probably. But it doesn't look at bad from an optics standpoint as hitting a powerplant does.

There is no blockade without stopping Chinese ships. China is already involved currently, because we are essentially negotiating with China via Iran as proxy.
