Isn't d dimer elevated in inflammatory states as well?
Like when the immune system is active?
Like after you get any vaccine?
This hardly means anything other than the vaccine is working.

I just did it 2weeks after first vaccine with pfizer.
Well it is good to know if the vax kills you now it is too late for it to be the official cause of death. So you will be listed as a covid death even though the vax killed ya! Cheers. We are beating this thing one way or the other.

Hi, I did twice weekly d dimer tests just prior and then all the way through my first and second doses. It rose up to twice the upper limit of normal and then returned to normal each time. It was definitely caused by the vaccine, but I’m not sure whether it was an indication of microthrombi or whether it was just acting as an inflammatory marker.

Tested +…more risk with covid and clotting than with the vax.
You shouldn’t be giving (bad and incomplete) medical advice. There are some people, myself included, who would be highly prone to clotting due to elevated inhibitors that do not like anything it perceives as foreign entering my body. I only know that about myself due to extensive testing to address another issue - which was caused by my body attacking it and clotting.
If you’re not an MD and you do not have extensive training in PAI-1 inhibitors as well as several other factors or the health history of individuals, NEVER give someone medical advice regarding the vax, clotting risk or any other medical factor.

I had my D dimer checked for some other problems. I had my Booster end of sept and my D dimer is elevated. Normal is .5 mine is 1.3.... Has me worried for sure.

I got the second Moderna vaccine and started having heart problems within days. Palpitations, stabbing pains in the heart. I was moving so I thought it was the stress. But this continued and finally, 4 months later I was sufficiently scared enough to see a doctor. All my tests came back as normal except d-Dimers which was elevated, and blood pressure which was also quite high. Then I read about a Dr in BC who was silenced for mentioning a correlation between the vaccine and heart problems including elevated d-Dimers levels.

Right. It's just an indicator for clotting. Especially for capillary clotting that cannot be seen on any kind of radiographic scan.
D dimer is terribly non-specific and can be elevated for many reasons. It’s useful to R/O disease but not overly helpful once it’s positive as a variety of different things could cause this. It’s not a very good indicator of clotting and some providers I’ve worked with won’t assume a clot if only the d dimer is elevated. I’ve scanned hundreds of patients for DVT with elevated d dimers and can count on one hand how many came back positive.

D-dimer? No.
I do have a question for the medical peeps on here.
In short, I read that “Micro-clots” associated with Covid were being missed by standard means.
Someone mentioned another method / test (a type of scan?) that was more precise.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
My searching for that particular thread has proven to be (As Seven Mary Three sang): cumbersome.
