There has always been a fair distinction between Democrat and Leftist. The latter is a MARXIST IDEOLOGUE. The former may or may not be. But in 2023, as The Left has taken control of The Party and The Cultural Revolution rages on and Biden is making our children's bathrooms safe for 30-year-old dudes in dresses, and every dissenting voice from within the Democratic Party gets expelled or crushed, it becomes far more difficult to make a distinction. And since rank-and-file Democrats make it all possible, I no longer make much of a distinction. There is a distinction, but it isn't much these days.

Moderates tend to flee either party if it is perceived to be going on an ideological bender. Clearly, irrefutably, The Democrats have gone over the edge. Covid, The border. Tranny fetishization. Crime. Weaponization of the unelected bureaucracies. Unequal application of the law. And of course they are most importantly being blamed for fiscal policy that has led to inflation (even though both parties are guilty here). The moderates will overwhelmingly vote AGAINST the Dems in 2024. People aren't just pissed, they are UNNERVED. There is a Leftist-induced Anxiety that has spread across the culture. People feel like that the end is nigh. The bottom is not holding. Decline feels inevitable and Dems are hastening it. It's unprecedented in my lifetime.

I am. And I have a pretty good track record on these things.
People want to PUNISH the ruling party in these moments. And this is a helluva moment in our history. The chaos that informs Leftism has bled into the culture and created this kind of weird anxiety. That pervasive cultural anxiety has never existed in my lifetime. I'm telling you, people are unnerved, and they want to crush the status quo and that's the Dems.
