I should be grateful that I got a response, but here it is:

“We are introducing an ordinance requiring security in parking lots during special events.”

LOL

So they are just kicking the can to the lots. Glad citizens don’t pay taxes to be protected or anything like that.

What about cars parked on the city streets?

My thought as well, but I’m sure the cost will just be passed along to the customers.

Next restaurants, bars and hotels will need to hire their own security too. That will be the next ordinance.

If only there were more statues that could be removed to fix the problem.

Those darn private businesses not fulfilling their most basic obligations. Thankfully the government will fulfill it’s purpose and hold them accountable.

Most Democrats will read the above and a giant frick yes will float through their empty, warped heads.

Think about this.
These are the same people who want to take away your guns.
They admit they can’t protect you, but if it were up to them they’d take away your protection.

I wonder if they are ok with these parking lots having armed guards???

From a NOLA article
quote:

The New Orleans City Council's Community Development Committee is scheduled on Wednesday to take up a measure aimed at improving parking lot security in the French Quarter and Downtown Development District. The ordinance would require lots in those areas to have live attendants.

Security is not the same as a “live attendant”. Why do they need to specify “live”? Is Hard Rock going to try some loophole game with a crushed construction worker?

Live attendant witnesses property being stolen/damaged:

Uh sir, please don’t do that….I’ll call the cops if you continue

Criminal:

Plus for the amount those folks will be getting paid, that may even be optimistic

NOLA Mayor/City Leadership coupled to it's undermanned PD...

Reminds me of Grenada's Army..

Overmatched!
