Iran, if I'm not mistaken.

While I hate the religion of "peace", there's a huge difference between being a "defender" and setting facts straight.

Some of you probably think that those women are going to go into a basketball game dressed like this...

I have no idea. He just jumps really high when he perceives attacks on Islam. It's weird. He may have just overshot this time. I don't know.

He does have good intentions he's just knighting in the wrong place obviously.

The absurdities of religion

i agree to the extent the term "religion" applies to: a) Islam, b) rituals and other symbols (language, acts etc) divorced from their experiential basis, and c) worship of state.

It just annoys me. People who know nothing about a religion with over 1,000,000,000 people come here to spew shite that typically isn't even true. It just adds to the problem.

The second comment on this thread.

I don't see peripheral vision obstruction on this...

Do you??

There are a shite ton of reasons to rag on Islam (and I do mean a ton ), but this isn't one of them.

Muslim women basketball players are on the brink of winning their battle to wear hijab while playing the sport after basketball's governing authority today approved a proposal to allow headgear to be worn by players.

If the hijab falls off or they lose it in a rough game, is the father or husband able to come out on the court and beat her for dishonoring the family by showing her unclad head?

#ReligiousTolerance ftw!

You think in 2017 folks on this board don't know the difference between the two garments?

Naw. We've all been exposed to the Taliban for a long time. The Burka is a kind of a unique form of "my pimp hand is strong".

Some hijabs when loose can be hot.

People are implying that hijabs are forced upon women. That's why I brought up the burka.

Just like you wear certain shoes for basketball, you would also wear a certain hijab.

Why wouldn't Nike create a product that consumers wanted to purchase? Why is that Bizarro world?
