A company like the NFL/NBA or Nike can endure these marketing mistakes.
Because not enough of us are committed. I stopped watching pro sports, stopped buying Gillette razors, canceled my AMEX, moved my banking from Chase (in the process on that one). Too many of us don’t have the commitment necessary to give up our entertainment drugs. If we did, the woke movement would be over by now.

The ability to replace a product easily AND that product having high turnover / low shelf life makes it effective quicker and gives feedback both to the company and to the boycotters.
If I were to boycott Ford, that wouldn’t show up for years simply because people don’t buy new cars every year unless they are very rich, very stupid, or both.

Bud Light was sailing along in calm, wide open seas. But they decided to let an idiot drive the boat. Which she promptly turned and steered directly into an ice berg 99% of other people would have missed by 50 miles. She then came out and blamed the ice berg for being in the way, while the Capitan and his staff are now desperately trying to scoop buckets of water out the boat to keep it afloat.
Member that one time Picard let Troi drive the Enterprise and she hit a planet?

AB really stepped in the honey bucket. They offended their core customers and now the gay bars are pissed that they didn't stand their tranny ground.

And remember, it didn’t really get going til mid April. Just imagine how bad May is going to be. And as they miss Memorial Day sales to finish the month off. Not to mention since they had no idea their sales would drop so fast they are going to have a lot of stale beer thats not counted as a loss yet but in a short time will have dispose of. And existing drinkers who stayed with them will get stanker beer as rivals beer has increased sales and will be much fresher. This is so fun to watch unfold.
But remember, no one has been fired and still drawing their huge paychecks. And if any are fired they will get packages worth more than most wage earners earn in a lifetime. They do not care about you, always remember that.
“Parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) sold $71.5 million worth of Bud Light in the week ending April 29, a 23% drop compared to a year ago, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting. Budweiser sales totaled $31.5 million that same week, down roughly 11%, the firm said. Sales of other Anheuser-Busch brands — including Michelob Ultra, Busch Light and Natural Light — have also taken a hit.”
“"It is unclear how ABI will reverse eroding U.S. volume and brand relevance, and fix distributors' trust, without leadership changes," analysts said.”

You know, I don't even know if I can blame someone from making a buck in helping bleed them of further money in their futile idea of thinking they can overcome this shitstorm with typical old-fashioned "marketing/advertising."
It's not like good ole boys who listen to him, who AB pissed off, are going to suddenly change back simply because HE promotes them.
No reason to be mad at him for profiting off their shitshow.
