You dismiss your opponent at your own peril. Since 2018 at the very least they have outflanked and confounded Republicans. They get election laws changed to their advantage. They find ways to turn once reliable Republican states like Georgia and Arizona into swing states with Democrat Senators. They swamp the Republicans at raising money and they have a preponderance of control over social institutions like universities . Hollywood and the media.
The Democrats know how to use power. We Republicans are ninnies who bitch and attempt foolish spectacle that doesn't work.

Absolutely. It can become almost like a hive mind in certain departments. They lose the ability to question if they could be wrong. I guess everyone is born with different skill sets too. I know brilliant engineers with zero emotional intelligence or social skills.

There is a vast difference between outsmarting your opponent and having complicit opposition. The uniparty is all on the same team trying to accomplish the same goals. There has been no outflanking, just complete cooperation.

This is the problem with people confusing intelligence (he ability to think logically, to conceptualize and abstract from reality) with wisdom (the ability to grasp human nature). Intelligence does not necessarily indicate wisdom, which you exampled exceptionally well:
