America To Blame for Griner Imprisonment—Unequal NBA/WNBA Pay!

So, according to Haq, it's really the United States, with its unequal pay for men and women, that is responsible for Griner's predicament! There are so many data points that prove this. Let's start with this one: Per this article, in a recent year, the NBA generated $7.4 billion in revenue. The WNBA generated. . .. $60 million. That's a ratio of 123:1. Per the same article, the average WNBA salary is $71,635. Applying that 123:1 ratio, the average NBA salary would be $8,881,105. But, in fact, NBA players are paid $6.4 million on average. So by that metric, it could be said that it is the NBA players who are underpaid! WNBA rosters have 12 players. If the players on just one team were paid the $6.4 million NBA average, it would more than wipe out the earnings of the entire league! Along similar lines, NBA games in 2021-2022 averaged over 3 million viewers. WNBA games in a recent year averaged 205,000 viewers. And the NBA plays more than five times more games than the WNBA. So the total viewership is even more lopsided. Haq closed the segment in classic liberal fashion, by dragging down the United States to the level of some of the world's worst countries. While warning Americans against traveling to places like Russia or Afghanistan, where they could be arrested on trumped-off charges and used as pawns à la Griner, Haq added: "With that said, other countries are now issuing warnings about coming to the United States because of our gun control problem. So we have to recognize that. We, here, also have our challenges that make other countries wary about spending tourist dollars here."

Griner is the only one responsible for her situation. She chose to take drugs into a country that doesn't allow their possession and use.

If they want equal pay they should put an equal product on the court. Last year’s Zachary boys team would have won the WNBA. WNBA is not being supported by women filling up the arenas for WNBA games. Why should they be paid like NBA players? It’s going to turn out in the end that men and women are different, I bet.

Bill Burrs rant on the WNBA (and women’s soccer) and feminism was both hysterical and actually true, and makes articles like this even more absurd. Everyone should go watch it because the audience was groaning he had them so uncomfortable 
The Kardashians and Real Houewives make millions of dollars because women watch them. It’s not up to men to watch women’s sports. Why aren’t women and feminists packing the place? The NBA already subsidizes the league and that’s still not enough??

Yep. And since the WNBA is subsidized and doesn’t make money on it’s own, instead of complaining Griner is underpaid, we should be saying she’s overpaid.
