Why are your threads getting anchored, man? Like the 4th thread of yours anchored.

Not cool.

The government does not hand out immunity cards Willie Nilly. It’s not a crapshoot. Recipients must give them a pretty good idea of the information they have before they are granted immunity.

Any of these names ring a bell?

After 8 or 9 pages, it's cool. You seem to be in each of them too, coincidence?

At Trump Org, Weisselberg would bring Trump checks to sign on a daily basis. Trump would routinely ask questions about the checks and what they were for, at times asking Weisselberg to hold off on specific payments. "He would say, 'That's too much.'"

Are you saying trump has the power to make sure the market would crash?

he absolutely has the ability to make the market crash. Not unique to trump but he could do it.

my $.02, it is unclear what type of immunity that Weisselberg got and what he got that immunity for. I seriously doubt it was beyond Cohen's payments. Maybe it was.

Now for pecker, I do think it was beyond just his interactions with Cohen.

Yeah, that's fair. It's speculation at this point as to exactly the terms of the immunity. We can only read the tea leaves until we see the agreement.

So, if they prosecute the Trump Org for financial crimes, no one can make the argument that he didn't do much with the business and it's just his name on it.

Common Cause will bend it however they like. Cohen was never part of the Trump for President Committee nor an official member of the campaign so any expenditure could be attributed to him acting as VP of the Trump Organization or as Co-President of Trump Entertainment or as personal lawyer to Donald trump as Trump was a private citizen at the time of the expenditure.

He was Deputy finance chair of the RNC, but as far as I can tell he did not co-mingle those funds with the payoffs.

If Trump had paid off someone in a potential lawsuit during his campaign that was a result of something the Trump Organization was accused of doing, would that have been considered an in kind contribution? No.

I'm thinking that the federal government is using the bank FEC statutes in a very fast and lose manner as well as bank fraud statutes.....nailing him for not reporting some debt on a 500K HELOC application???????? You'd have to lock up thousands of businessmen who have big homes with high equity levels.......there is not enough prison space. I think Cohen's attorney saw that the US Atty in conjunction with Mueller was going to twist and misuse these statutes and Cohen would not have a prayer if this thing went to trial because of the focus of the DOJ and Mueller.

Common Cause is a Democrat affiliated Progressive group. That would like nothing more than total public funding of elections via the US Treasury. hey are disingenuous
