Alleged J6 Pipe Bomber Confession Posted

Steve Baker made a good case for confessions from Autistic people not being reliable because they're people pleasers. Based mostly on Baker's other work (gait analysis, shoe size, bra straps, etc.), I thought the Feds had arrested a patsy.
Reading the confession, though, leads me to believe that Brian Cole, Jr. is guilty.
He....
-confessed to owning the shoes
-said he was the person in the pictures
-worried that people would recognize him from video
- explained in detail how he made the black powder
-said that he had wanted to turn himself in many times
It's one thing to feel pressured into a general confession. It's another thing to show your knowledge of how the deed was done. Also, his initial alibi (some vague protest) was lacking in details.
If you're interested, read it for yourself:

I’ve gone down this rabbit hole a little bit and I must say it is fishy. The woman who Steve claims did it was a former capital police officer and is now working with the CIA. They didn’t have a suspect - allegedly - until after Steve made this claim about the police officer, and the FBI magically identifies/arrests this autistic black guy.
Interesting conspiracy theory no doubt.

I was almost completely convinced that the Capitol Police officer turned CIA employee did it.
Then I read the confession.

Thanks, Bunk. I could list literally dozens of reasons that I thought this was an inside job.
Then I read the confession.

Could be. I just thought the confession was much more damning than I thought it would be.

There’s many examples of confessions under duress - see the 1991 Yogurt Shop murders. Take into consideration this guy was autistic, and you have a format confession and the case needs actual evidence.

Aw come on, now. The intelligence community is beyond reproach. Remember when 46 of their most dignified members looked into the Hunter Biden laptop and every single one of those fine, upstanding humanitarians individually determined that it was nothing but Russian disinformation? WOW!
Oh, wait! Turned out all 46 of them were lying thru their teeth!
Never mind......
But, hey. At least they didn't kill Kennedy.
Oh, wait!

Totally agree. I was just saying that the words used by Brian Cole, Jr. don't seem to be the product of coercion.
I was hoping someone else would actually read the confession to see what they thought.

Honestly, I haven’t even read it but I got some homework to do this week.

Took me about 30 minutes. I have spoken with Steve Baker personally. I have the highest respect for him...and his work.
The only questions he wouldn't answer of mine were:
- did Cole own a pair of THE shoes
- where did Cole say he was on the evening of 1/5/21? and
- did Cole know how to build a pipe bomb
Before I read the confession, I was about 80% convinced Cole was a patsy. After reading the confession, I'm 85% sure he is guilty.

That’s pretty cool you’ve talked to him personally. Do you mind sharing where you talked to him at?
That’s a shame he wouldn’t answer your questions - no shame in saying you don’t know something but it’s different when you don’t answer a valid question.
Do you think he was avoiding your questions?

Interesting stuff. Cones from a Democrat family but spent a lot of time online and started following rt wing folks like Ron Paul. And seemed really scared to tell his family or anyone he supported rt wing politics or was even going to a Trump protest.
Can definitely tell he's autistic. I used to work with autistic kids. He shows that intelligence at times but also the child like mind. Constantly repeats himself out loud, talks to himself out loud.

It's the transcription of a video of the FBI's interrogation of him.

I am struggling with this....for privacy purposes I don't think I should be too specific about our mode of communication.
I DID think he was avoiding my questions, but I don't automatically ascribe a bad motive to him. He is being sued for millions of dollars by Shauni Kerkhoff.

It was.
Despite the possibility of false confessions made by Autistic people, I found the switch from his initial denial to subsequent admission to be what most guilty people would do ---- deny guilt until you're convinced you aren't getting away with it.

People will read the motion to suppress the confession and form a very different opinion than the ones who actually read the transcript of the confession.
The confession is clear as day and I don't see anything overboard at all.
The motion to suppress is written from a legal defense perspective.
Anyone who trust Baker's opinion on this subject after this is crazy.
A reasonable person might say..."this doesn't add up and there are so many things that don't align with this confession...despite it appearing to be legitimate."
Going all in on the FBI taking advantage of an autistic person and coercing a confession is a huge stretch that doesn't match the transcript at all.

Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie · Follow Most of the country has been ignoring this story. When it’s finally resolved, @FBIDirectorKash must resign and join Bongino. What the two of them have done to this autistic black man is inexcusable. At a minimum, they should release Cole on an ankle bracelet until the trial.
