As the older conservative Justices, and with the impending replacement of Ginsberg; any chance either retires?
Don't necessarily want either to retire, however, strategically this would virtually guarantee a conservative court for 2-3 decades.

Thomas (70)
Alito (68)

Roberts, Breyer, Ginsburg, Thomas, and Alito between 2021 to the end of 2028

Alito maybe the only one to stay longer

I believe Thomas will.

I hope he will, anyway.

thomas is a "maybe", it depends on him since he can easily go another 10 years but may want to retire as a FU to the dimms for what they did to him. he may hold out for retiring late in trumps second term though

alito is a hard no IMHO, he will be replaced by whoever wins the 2024 election

Let’s first replace Sleeping Beauty.

They should look at the mistake RBG made and retire when their ideological President and Senate can appoint their replacements.

I can see Thomas pulling the plug. I do not believe Alito is going anywhere any time soon.

Thomas is the most conservative judge.

It will be hard to replace him with a more conservative judge.

If he would step down before 2021 it would probably be because Trump loses in 2020, so the Senate could replace him before a democrat could take office.
