Math isn't universal. It is clearly racist. So are statistics and unaltered world star photographs. Facts are also inherently racist.

If you're saying that black folks simply can't "math" as well as white folks, that's de facto racism. They currently don't for a shite ton of reasons (some more easily explained than others), but it isn't because evil white people sit up in a tower and say, "Well, Sh'quan won't be too happy to see us insert a word problem about cavier and lobster, now will she? [evil laughter ensues]"
And the solution is damned sure NOT to just say, "frick it. These black kids don't need algebra - just wave them on through."

It isn’t racist and I agree but in the US any practice that has a disparate impact on a protected group is illegal even if the practice affords equal opportunity to the protected group.

The answer isn't to make them take courses they can't pass. This idea that everyone is college material is beyond absurd.
People with below a 100 IQ don't belong in a college, it is a waste of resources.

I hated Algebra and Trig. I passed, but I'm just not a numbers guy. That stuff bores me to tears

No shite! I took algebra in high school, 9th & 10th grade. Didn't take any more math after that because I was lazy as Hell and that satisfied my graduation requirement. Got to college and the course advisor TRIED to get me to take a math prep course. That's when I found out that it cost just as much, but didn't earn me any credits. His reasoning was that I hadn't took a math class in over two years. I convinced him to sign me up for Algebra I. Passed it with an A.
