Freedom of speech is the reason why the Sheriff's Office never came to his door with a warrant and why he was ordered to pay 743 million to the families and not the federal government.

Man, if only someone (govt) would have prevented him from exercising his freedom of speech, then THAT would be unconstitutional, but that didn't happen... What DID happen.. is exactly what he said Didn't. We don't need THAT to win.

Defamation should be legal

and no states rights, federalize the awards of monetary damages to a cap of let's say, $8 per incident.

Not that he would, but I would laugh my arse off if Elon Musk wrote a check to pay this off before reactivating Alex's twitter account. Oh the meltdowns

Wait. Do you think criminal codes are the only laws the government creates and enforces?

I don't care much for Alex Jones but he has the right to believe what he wants to believe. If he believed Bigfoot with AK-47s was the real shooter then go for it.

Ridiculous, but that's a consistent punitive damage award that meets due process.

Now...whether the compensatory damages are valid, is another question. That sure seems like a punitive amount, and not merely to make the plaintiffs whole.
