So far the western SAMs have intercepted 81% of the missiles launched at Ukraine today. Even Russia's ability to throw a hissy fit has been mostly neutralized.

ETA - I don’t like Putin either fwiw.

However, his nukes make him a threat.

Therefore he IS an adversary.

This isn’t difficult.

Exactly this! Excellent summation of what should be the obvious. If only we could get the same to explain the reasons behind Putin's "real motivations" for undertaking this endeavor

Natural gas control. Southeast region is the major player in Ukraine.

They also wanted to be Russian.

He used their deaths as a reason to move in. He's not a good guy. He wanted the gas. The people were the cover used to stay there after NATO "encroachment" was used for the initial invasion.

I view anyone with a powerful military as a threat, including our allies.

So Ukraine is a threat.

Got it.

Don't know you can make it in the military sector bud.

I'd look into spraying for insects if I were you.

That is only the insects that aren't adversaries or threats

Who gives a shite? You don't just let a foreign nation invade your country because a section of it wants to leave to become part of Russia.

If south Texas wanted to become part of Mexico would you be okay with Mexico invading the United States to make that happen?

The straw man is strong in this one.

It would appear that Russia is at the Rubblization stage.

Leveling everything is really all they're good at in war, so, it was bound to reach this point anyway.

It's not a straw man. It's an honest question. While it's been over 100 years, there was a time when a Mexican invasion of the southern U.S. was a legitimate possibility. It's more or less how we eventually got involved in the First World War.

So the question still stands: why should Zelensky, or any world leader for that matter, let a foreign power invade their country just because a segment of it wants to be part of that invading nation?

It 100% isn't. It's a hypothetical question regarding a scenario that I know would likely never happen. However, I'm trying to put you in the shoes of a random Ukrainian citizen who was just minding their own business when suddenly the Russian military began to lob missiles into their cities because they wanted some more Ukrainian real estate.

So answer the question, how would you feel if a Hispanic-majority south Texas suddenly wanted to be part of Mexico and the Mexican government decided to oblige them and attempted to occupy that region of the United States.

For the sake of argument, we'll call this a straw man. However, that doesn't mean you can't answer the question honestly.

I agree, I don't support our involvement. I don't hate Ukraine defending themselves.

Air Raid Sirens going off in ALL OF UKRAINE as Russia Launches Massive Bombardment! by Jack Carter

Maybe Ukraine should have negotiated before the war started. Oh well. Taking orders from the corrupt USA politicians has dire consequences.

Or maybe the anti Trump coalition shouldn't have rigged the 2020 GE. That rigged 2020 election has punished the world. As for the idiots who voted for Whispering Joe, they are mentally incapable of looking at the 2nd and 3rd order consequences of their brain dead decision.

I can almost guarantee if Trump were still president there would still be a military presence in Afghanistan at Bagram AFB, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine, the CCP would not be threatening Taiwan, gasoline would be somewhere between $2-2.50/gallon, inflation would be under 6% and the D.C. Establishment/Bureaucratic State would be in fear of the collapse of their self enrichment Swamp system.

Comprehension is tough I see. That's not the primary reason. Go back and read my previous couple posts in this thread.

Then put the whole picture together.
