Yes, I suspect that the Trump team brought a box of campaign hats and handed them out, but I would readily change that view if someone can give some verifiable info to the contrary.
That goes both ways and your outrage is no justification of your assumptions. So I will ask you to prove those hats were brought by Trump and not service members.

Assume with me that Trump HAD used this trip as the excuse to officially announce his 2020 campaign; that he handed our troops and airmen “Trump 2020” bumper stickers, buttons and caps; and that his speech urged them to vote for him in 2020 ... all on the government dime. For that matter, imagine that Obama had done the same thing in 2012. Would that cause you concern?
Well he did not do that so these assumptions are moot.

I did not say otherwise, but perhaps you are unfamiliar with the concept of examining hypotheticals in order to better-understand a given set of facts.

It is always entertaining to see Trump’s ardent supporters interpret as “outrage” any question whatsoever regarding the nature of his actions.

As I said in my initial post, I do not know the source of the hats, which is why I asked for more info.

If someone asked exactly the same questions about Obama in exactly the same scenario, the entire compliment of posters on this thread would have piled-on like punks in a mosh pit. It is beyond entertaining.

In other unrelated news an Air Force F-35 in testing phases mysteriously crashed into CNN headquarters carrying a full payload.

Although unusual for a training flight to be carrying munitions while training stateside this trainer was planned. The pilot had safely ejected prior to impact.

”Vile” like intentionally truncating a quote, in order to completely change its meaning ... from an inquiry into an accusation?

Here is the FULL quote:
quote:

he is interested in determining whether the POTUS engaged in actions of questionable legality,
It is fascinating that you can attribute ill motives to ANYONE after that sort of verbal shenanigans.

I do not often join in this forum’s practice of attacking the personal character of ideological opponents, but I will make an exception in this instance. You are dishonest and vile.

I can read a normal distribution, and I’ve been reading his drivel for quite some time. I’ll not need them.

I’ve been reading your drivel for some time, as well.

You overestimate yourself.

The bottom line is this. It was NOT against the rules no matter how many soibois said it was Trump is CINC he can WAIVE THE freaking rules if he so desires anyhow or just issue pardons if needed. If you want to try to impeach him for that, take your best shot but I assure you , you don't want to go there.

Obama did the same thing we have pix, and so did Michelle so they would have to be prosecuted also.If we dig deep enough they all have likely done it. But no one's getting prosecuted because you can all go to hell.

Guess you do not want to answer my question on intent regarding the possibility that Trump did indeed bring and distribute the damn hats as souvenirs (vs campaigning).

It would surprise me that he didnt bring enough for everyone.

I don’t see him pulling up and handing out say 20-30 caps and telling the rest gfy. Im sure if he did we would have heard about it. I’m sure you would agree the msm screams bloody murder kver every single negative story they can dream up.

Hell im more surprised they havent ran this theory of yours anyway citing unnamed sources familiar with the president’s planning.

Yes, intent would probably be the next question, if he was indeed handing-out campaign materials on this official trip. But I thought the consensus was that he did not do this. Why bother with the discussion? Several of your compatriots have made it clear that hypothetical discussions are beyond their abilities.

Between you and me? I have said repeatedly that Trump is a MASTER salesman. He is ALWAYS in self-promotion mode. It is how he got so rich. I doubt it would be difficult to show that he was chasing votes when handing-out campaign materials.

No, it was just dumb, and you were rightfully upbraided for being dumb about it.

Let me make sure I am understanding you. You believe, based purely upon speculation, that Trump supplied the hats. You also want posters on this site to prove he didn’t? How do you propose the posters of this site do that?

Yes but why would I be concerned about this? It didn’t happen. Your TDS is causing you to make up bad scenarios about Trump that haven’t even happened yet.

My question was neither hysterical nor inflammatory. The responses were both. If there was any “derangement” in this thread, it came from the Trump supporters.

You come off as a drama queen all the time. Constantly fighting with other posters and capitalizing words in every other sentence don’t help.

Wrong on all counts.

I do not "believe" he supplied them. I merely "suspected" that he did so. For those who are less than fluent in English, "believe" and "suspect" are very different things. Based upon what CBA said, my suspicions in that regard are significantly-lessened.

I did not ask any one to "prove" anything. I simply asked if anyone was aware of contrary evidence. Again, CBA provided that information.

So....your posts in this thread are meaningless. Got it.

Believe: accept something as true

Suspect: have an idea of the truth of something without proof.

What a cavernous difference. I apologize for mischaracterizing you posts.
