Cool. Call the police and have him arrested for petty theft if this is true. Still doesn’t excuse hunting him down in your truck, cornering him and then shooting him in the chest with a shotgun. I do not want to live in a country where bumfrick rednecks get to decide who gets executed for their crimes

If they were actually hunting him they had plenty of opportunities to kill him. Why let him get close when something really bad can happen?
You could also say that Zimmerman had a gun, followed someone and shot him. Those are all factual statements, and they wouldn't paint an accurate picture either.

He was a POS, but you can't kill someone unless your life is in danger. You can't go around playing Cop trying to arrest people, especially for just walking into an abandoned/unfinished house. I have no problem with the dudes being arrested and charged for what they did.
However, I do have a major problem with Biden tweeting "A black man should be able to go for a jog." The "jogger" angle is such bullshite and everyone knows it. Just tell it like it is: "Man breaks into house, then gets chased by angry vigilante neighbors who take law into their own hands. Vigilantes are charged with murder." I would be fine with that headline or tweet.

Trayvon Martin circled back to confront Zimmerman. Arbery was trying to escape the McMichaels. That’s a pretty big difference.

I think the defense of the McMichaels is usually more of a knee jerk reaction against the bullshite narrative of “black people should be able to jog” than it is an actual defense of their actions. They were pretty dumb. Criminally so.

They were utter dumb asses. With that said, I’m guessing guilty on lesser included degrees of homicide than murder and/or guilty on other offenses (agg assault, false imprisonment etc).

My point was you can make factual statements about an event and still paint a different picture than what actually happened.
I'm not interested in defending anything they did, if people want to go on about rednecks on a hunting trip then whatever. I just looks an awful lot like what the left typically does with these incidents.

I thought they had already called the police and were trying to detain Arbery until the police arrived.

They had no direct knowledge of a crime that he had committed that would’ve warranted detaining him.

You mean the ones the jogger tried to take the gun away from?

Yes. He tried to take the gun from someone unlawfully detaining him.

Shocker.
He was a POS.
However, that does not excuse the actions of those that killed him. They deserve jail.
Yea, right. You'll be saying the same thing about me if you come steal shite from my backyard.

You find every opportunity to excuse bad behavior. I remember you kissing Mike Browns arse before the truth came out.

The father and son who killed him should be found guilty.

I’m not excusing killing someone.

You’re quick to malign law enforcement when the facts aren’t all in.

What does that change?

Law enforcement isn’t part of this discussion.

I know you believe that. It’s one of several reasons I don’t take you seriously. You’ve an obvious bias when it comes to law enforcement/law versus anyone else. You wear it on your sleeve and it belies any of your serious commentary on any case with law enforcement.
