My 45 years in media production begs to differ. HD from the original source file would be dramatically better in my professional opinion.

He is a racist. His only viewpoint is that of the bubbas and he is unable to view the situation neutrally or through the eyes of others. How about not taking a “side” and looking at it objectively. It’s ok for the man that died to not be a model citizen and for it still to be an unjust killing which it was.

It’s a camera phone. Again. If digital zoom is used the image degrades. That’s a fact. Yes they’re getting better but it’s a huge limitation and particularly if the guy filmed it with an older phone.

Yes. The production expert is acting like it was filmed with an actual HD setup which it was not. Anyway, this thread is just another indicator of why this country is so divided. People are so concerned with their agenda that they refuse to be objective. It’s a sad reflection on our society.

You would be surprised at how many shows, programs, productions are shot on a cell phone over the last few years. The big problem is not resolution or image quality, but a pain in the neck variable frame rate.
Yeah, resolution is reduced with a digital zoom, but the quality remains amazing. The small, crappy, re-compressed stuff I've seen on the Internet is just plain nasty.

The McMichaels never mention it to the cops and said cops canvassed the area for evidence and no hammer or anything thing else of the sort was found.

I don't think it was a "claim" so much as a speculation from what I've seen. If the police report didn't find a hammer and the area was canvased, then the thing in the video was something else. A stick perhaps.
Debunked is a much abused word these days.

Every time I’ve encountered a turkey when I meant to kill him, I didn’t. I just chased him for 10 more minutes and then waited until he charged me. Then I shot him. Hunting 101
