AG Barr: Stone sentence 'absolutely excessive': Two tainted/biased jurors in Stone case

Stephanie Grisham: AG Barr realizes Roger Stone sentence recommendation was 'absolutely excessive'
quote:
Attorney General William Barr was correct in realizing that Roger Stone's previously recommended nine-year sentence by Justice Department (DOJ) prosecutors would have been "absolutely excessive," White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham affirmed Thursday.
Appearing on "Fox & Friends" with hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade, Grisham said that the administration expected retaliation from Democrats after President Trump tweeted in support of Barr and senior DOJ leaders' decision to effectively overrule a previous judgment in the former Trump adviser's case by seeking a lesser sentence.
In an apparent protest of the reversal, on Tuesday four career DOJ prosecutors abruptly withdrew from their posts.
Since then, Democrats have accused the president of interfering in the process -- a charge which the president has vehemently denied -- and called for Barr's resignation. Additionally, the case has been complicated further by questions over possible juror bias.

Meanwhile, it emerged Wednesday that U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson had denied a defense request to strike a potential juror who was an Obama-era press official with admitted anti-Trump views -- and whose husband worked at the same DOJ division that handled the probe leading to Stone's arrest.
And, another Stone juror, Seth Cousins, donated to former Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke and other progressive causes, federal election records reviewed by Fox News show.

And this doesn’t even go into the jury foreman, who is a former Dem congressional candidate and political fixture from Tennessee

Should be removed from the bench and barred from ever practicing law again.

Man, you talk about the cards stacked against you.

Don't both sides have to agree on jurors?

Republicans being tried in DC is like Texan Republicans being up on charges in Travis County, TX.
You get all kinds of crazy shite happening because of who the jurors likely are.

Was the government going to object to someone obviously sympathetic to their case?

Full information is out there to dismiss the honest Bob special council as the total hoax it is. This would end it all right now. It is getting real old.
AG Barr needs to carry his behind to a podium immediately. Or Durham could stop taking so long to do grand juries. For starters McCabe is still free isn't he? Where is RR?

No, but couldn't the defense say, "I don't want this person on the jury." I honestly don't know and that is why I am asking.

This will be overturned.
Good for Roger.
frick every one of you Commie bastards that supported destroying these people's lives.

They did
They motioned to have the juror everyone is talking about removed
The activist judge denied that request

The judge overruled their objections in at least one case.
There is a high probability that the potential jurors were lying in voir dire about their backgrounds to minimize the chances of getting tossed once they realized what case it was.
The judge put gag orders on Stone and his defense.
All of this adds up to a show trial.

Eh. Kind of a stretch here. Definite possibility of bias but if the man is of character, I could see him being a reasonable selection. However his support for Beto... not indicative of character or intellect.

They are in DC ffs, everybody there is a corrupt Democrat with their hand in somebody's cookie jar.

and not to mention the fact that the trial was held in D.C. A trial of a Repb. of DC jurists is like asking a fox to guard the hen house. You know without a doubt what is going to happen.
