One of the few times I can say MS really shined was in it's Katrina response, night and day difference from the way LA handled it.

Every single office in the state of MS pitched in and the cleanup went extremely quick, the state then was reimbursed by FEMA, 2 years later NO was still crying for FEMA dump trucks to come pick shite up that was piled alongside the road.
