I swear on everything I hold dear that I found an empty corner of the Mandalay Bay, took a knee, and said a prayer for DJT when I first saw this thread

This is the perks of having a twin AF1. If there had been a flight critical issue the crew would have diverted to NYC or Boston instead of making the full turn back for Andrews. I’m sure 29000 was the aircraft originally headed for Davos so now 28000 will become Air Force One for the trip. These are aging aircraft and even as immaculate as the ground crews keep them in perfect running order, you still never take a chance when you fly over water for an extended period of time. That’s a long time flying with your feet wet and a gremlin in the electronics bay.
