Well then, I guess it’s a good thing nobody listens to you.

It’s not about listening to me.
When no one on this board’s fantasy list is prosecuted, because Trump is not an idiot, in favor of actually doing things that matter…what will your opinion be?

Because the Republican contingent in Congress doesn’t have the stomach for both. They have to be reelected and the majorities increased for Trump to be effective past this time next year.
Do you want a better country, or do you want to feel vindicated through congressional committee reports that do nothing?

My opinion will be the same as it is now. That if nothing is done and if these criminals face no consequences for their actions, the next crew will just be emboldened to do it all over again.
You’re easily one of the most jaded people I’ve ever had the misfortune to encounter. Your whole political philosophy appears to mirror Bobby Knight’s view on rape: if it’s inevitable, we should just lay back, take it and enjoy it.

Five honkeys bitching about a brown dude. I'm confused, what are the identity politics rules for the day?

The contrarian boo-birds are remarkably committed to their dogma. The difference between those of us who believe justice will prevail and them is that the nOtHiNg iS hApPeNInG crowd are simply taking the path of least resistance.

Easy for you to say because you didn’t have to deal with it. Those that were affected and prosecuted would definitely have a different idea

Schiff is working extra hard to swing public opinion against Patel because he knows the hammer is coming.

Going after all of them would be idiotic. Going after one of them cows the rest.

Oh I’m sure they want retribution. That doesn’t mean it’s the right course of action.

Not at all. I prefer actions that matter, not unsuccessful prosecutions or congressional committee reports.

In what is apparently your view, they shouldn’t even attempt to seek justice.
That IS just laying back and taking it.

Government employees are immune from prosecution and civil liability from actions taken in the course and scope of their employment. It’s not about trying. You don’t understand reality or the law. But I’m sure when any hypothetical cases are thrown out you’d be right here claiming the judge is corrupt.
I also despise all forms of political theater. So you’re right, I give no importance to endless committee hearings just so that people can go on some podcast and feel vindicated
