Are black women really excluded from physics or are there just not many interested in the first place?

The bolded portion is irrelevant. If they aren't there in satisfactory numbers it is because of deliberate exclusion. There cannot be any other explanation.

We need to go back to a pure merit system that does not promote idiot ideologs.

Physics is the base for all hard science. If you have a good grasp of physics you can probably understand anything in science. The number of people who fall into that category is very limited.

Query, where did Joseph Robinette Biden finish in his law school class? I noticed you omitted him from your list. Odd.
Syracuse - didn't have to query. Bottom third as I recall. But, what does this have to do with black women not getting physics? Maybe their brains are not built for it. I could see Geometry like is was real sitting right in front of me. I struggled with multiplying Xs in Algebra. School is what you make of it. I'm sure Biden's class just out worked him and didn't put a lid on it at 12:00 noon.

Per Wikipedia

quote:

Chanda Prescod-Weinstein was born in Los Angeles, California, where she grew up in the eastside neighborhood of El Sereno and attended schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is of Barbadian descent on her mother's side and Russian-Jewish and Ukrainian-Jewish descent on her father's side.

In March 2017, Prescod-Weinstein won the LGBT+ Physicists Acknowledgement of Excellence Award "For Years of Dedicated Effort in Changing Physics Culture to be More Inclusive and Understanding Toward All Marginalised Peoples"

Since 2019, she has been a faculty member in physics and astronomy, as well as in women's and gender studies at the University of New Hampshire. She earned tenure in 2023.

Ok...so, her father is Jewish and her mother is from Barbados. She does have a PhD...but here is the regression as she matriculated. Her BS was in Physics and Astronomy from Harvard (which does have an excellent Physics Department, but insanely bad social influences)...then her MS in Astronomy from UC-Santa Cruz (which is quite a step down)...then her PhD in Theoretical Physics from The University of Waterloo. It is ranked the #1 Physics school in Canada...but that's a lot like being the skinniest kid at fat camp. Ok...so they are #207 Internationally in Physics (US News Ranking)...and a horrible school for social logic.

Since this is an SEC-related board...here are SEC school rankings in Physics:

#35 - Texas
#120 - Texas A&M
#172 - Florida
#212 - Tennessee
#238 - Ole Miss (tied with UC Santa Cruz...where she got her MS)
#261 - Vandy
#274 - Bama
#295 - LSU
#329 - Oklahoma
I'll stop there. The point is...she could have gotten a better (or comparable) degree from a number of schools we are familiar with, and gotten much better exposure to logic.
