I have never posted on the TD forums. My dad had a username of OneFifty. After 7 months he succumbed to brain cancer back in September. He had given my mom the password to his phone, so it was not hard to find this site after looking at his data.

I have read his comments over a few weeks. True to form, he wouldn’t lie, almost never used contractions, and he even mentioned me, his atypical son. It didn’t seem that he was very well known on any of the forums, but he visited this one the most. I thought it was worth mentioning and hope to post here in the future. Thank you.

I will admit - I am approaching that reckoning myself, and for the past several years, my posts have been more of a "dear diary" type of soul-searching, in the hopes that someday my own kids may take happen upon them.

Please stay on this site - it is the best political discussion site extant. I have been haunting political discussion forums since the beginning of the internet - going from AOL/GreatDebate during dial-up days thru several others until I discovered this site when my granddaughter recommended it to me when she came to LSU (my alma mater also)

Since then, it has never made me ashamed to be a part of it.
