You still didn’t answer what makes you think passing through a vigina makes someone alive and that before that they're what? just some sort of unfeeling lump of cells?
It's called a fetus. Were you one of those kids whose parents refused to sign the Sex Ed permission slip?
That definitely served you well.

Did any of you see the ESPN E60 show Perfect?
It's about a guy I wen to HS with and a girl I dated briefly. He was an Air Force pilot and FBI agent. They have a daughter that they knew was going to have Downs Syndrome and he wanted her to have an abortion and Jennifer didn't want to. It's a pretty touching show if you haven't watched it.

I fully understand what it’s called. But can you not understand that a callingit a fetus doesn’t remove its personhood? It is still a living being. You do realize that fact, right? It’s alive.

What’s funny is you try to be a smartass but you’re the ignorant peice of shite oblivious to the fact a fetus is a living being.

Yes, it does. My friend's son has Down's. At first it's smaller things. Extra eyeglasses. Special Ed at school. He requires Occupational Therapy and a one to one person at school.
The school system pays for some of it, at taxpayer expense. The extra eyeglasses, the family pays for.
They are often out of pocket waiting for reimbursement from the state for entitled programs through the school system. Including occupational therapy.
They have been unable to save money for their older kids' educations. Their daughter and they have taken out loans to pay for her college.
It can be small things, but will add up to a lot in the end. He will never live independently, but will require to either live with his siblings, an incredibly unfair thing to ask of his siblings, or in a group-home situation. He will always have Medicaid and will qualify for disability, all at taxpayer expense. Additionally, any group-home he lives in will probably have to supplemented at tax-payer expense. Most with Down's can hold menial jobs, but they do not make enough money to support themselves and the extra care they require.
This doesn't mean I think anyone should be extinguished. Just answering the question about state support.

fetal viability
I imagine you are against all abortion just from reading some of your posts, or does this matter to you at all?

Again you sidestep the issue. Are you unaware that a fetus is a living being?
Are you unaware a fetus can feel pain?
Are you unaware a fetus can recognize their mothers voice and even react to their voice?
Are you unaware a fetus has periods of being awake and others of being asleep?
Are you unaware a fetus sucks it’s tumb just like a live baby?
Are you unaware a fetus gets hiccups?
Either you beleive in science or you don’t. And science proves without any doubt that a fetus is both human and alive.

We can do better.
I have no problem debating the viability of state support for completely normal, able-bodied people who choose not to work or who game the system for their own gain. That's a problem we should deal with and fix.
On the other hand, their are families and people who take on literal financial, medical, and physical strife due to biological circumstances. We can, and should, do better with those people. And I'd have 0 issues supporting that.
Losing sight on the value of life, religious or not, is a huge problem.

The Downs people I've ever met are the absolute best human beings on planet Earth.
They are the most loving people on the planet.

Except for that it really isn't. It hasn't taken a breath on it's own and relies on the mother to breathe. So, if something hasn't been birthed into the world and it isn't breathing on it's own, it isn't alive yet.
It's like you've been cooking a lasagna for 2 minutes and want to eat it. Is it technically a lasagna at that point? Meh. Who knows? That reminds me, it's lunchtime.
Like aborting a fetus, I have a choice to make.

We can. The issue is actually the finite amount of resources that we have available and where we use those resources. So, in order to provide these services, what other services are you willing to cut?
You is the general, not specific.

at what point? fetuses don't do most of those things until 23-27 weeks. So before it has a developed nervous system is it still alive?

Roughly 75% percent of abortions do not take place in the fetus stage and 92% are with in the first 13 weeks. Late term abortions are illegal. So are you ok with an embryo being aborted?

So you’re fully aware they’re a living human. You just don’t care.
Ok. At least now I understand your thinking.

Human life is human life. And no one has the right to deny them the God given right of life short of them being convicted of s capital crime.

Totally agree on both points. I think stuff like this is one area where we can sacrifice a bit more than would seem immediately comfortable. It's just the right thing to do.
Not only that, decisions like "more state support" are tough to make in a vacuum. And right now, it seems people are only concerned with fighting with each other.
