I would laugh loudly, and hard, if this proved to be true.
I however... And I've really tried, can't find any articles that support it that he passed or failed.
The thought that elected seats could apply for it before taking office... Is another search result I couldn't find, buried in articles about them not needing to have it, that the seat automatically gains some level of clearance.
A lot of pieces expressing that it would be difficult for him to pass one though.

Any legitimate evidence or is this the same level of allegation as OP?
It's an opinion at this point.

If Sayed failed then I'm going to guess there's many more currently serving in Congress that should not be authorized to receive classified briefings..

He didn't fail because the check isn't required.
Experts believe he would fail.

Here is information that I've managed to dig up. And yeah some.of it is scary, and some of it seems like they get more info than they deserve.
The short of it is that without clearance they do receive a lot of info I personally don't believe they should. Including access to some materials listed Top Secret.
But not carte blanche. Without the actual security clearance they cannot access Executive level clearance automatically. It depends on their positions in committees (still scary) and case by case (very scary).

There's more if people want to look them up.
