I'm not confident at all that Congress can get to the truth and run a competent investigation. Especially a Democrat controlled House

Since when do news outlets have a legal obligation to report things like this? Sure it’s in extremely poor taste not to do so, but they aren’t the investigators.
If this will become the standard, you could hold several of these “news” outlets accountable for not reporting on several stories which were buried.
Plus they are fake news anyway so why should we expect them to be professional in the first place?

Everyone has an obligation to report a crime which they become aware of. "Report" in this context meaning reporting to authorities. Whatever they choose to "report" on their broadcast is their business. Unless of course we're talking about the public airwaves which has been regulated as belonging to the public interest since the advent of analog broadcasting.

Maybe because they felt scared as shite to alert authorities considering the corruption likely extends into the halls of Washington and the nation itself.
The fricker was the gatekeeper. Even movies has news media being the ones who receive the dirt before police to expose it all to a mass populace. Showing to the police it really may be "quashed". Media suppose to be the light that exposes darkness and protected by the constitution in doing so.
Instead they are the god damn devil's protecting evil.
Whole damn nation is sick it seems where power is concerned.

abc operates on a license given to them by the federal government.
