Look no further than Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal. A sitting U.S. Vice President allowed his son to sell the security and interests of the United States to feed his son’s wHoRE and cRAcK addiction.
It is an outrage. And indeed the fallout from such corrupted pay-to-pay “diplomacy” has led the nation to the brink of WWIII.
Yet like Benghazi, there may be some minor political recriminations but any “official” inquiry into the matter will simply be a means for the reigning power structure to assert it’s legitimacy and/or allow the guilty to cover their crimes. Any such investigation into the matter will be akin to the Mafia investigating itself.

Why would they need to? They basically have complete power now, MSM, entertainment, sports, social media, everything. They could say Joe Biden cured cancer, plug it into the propaganda machine, and people would go with it. I think the NYT confirmed the physical laptop is real just so they could say the contents of it are the result of hacking. All of the MSM does this, they throw out something that looks like they're finally being unbiased then just drop it and it goes away. Not one damn thing will happen to Hunter or anybody else

I guess there’s the outside chance that the word is spreading amongst “sources” that Hunter is either already indicted (sealed indictment) or is imminently going to be so perhaps based at least in part on something(s) revealed on said laptop. Thus, in this scenario, the media is trying to get ahead of possible fallout from it becoming widely known that they had reviewed all that same info and quietly sat on it.
