A sudden shortage of cops, do to tampon Tim program

I saw a Minnesota news article describing the sudden ghosting of 100 cops from the city under siege. Turns out, they have elected to take advantage of Walz's new program to have the state pay for 20 weeks of paid leave for personal reasons for all companies over 25 employees. Staffing for an11 man squad is down to 3 people.
Maybe the lack of local/state support for ICE is not political, but just stupid state governance.
That 20 weeks is allowed yearly allowance, paid for with a 1% payroll tax and the program will fund a 40 % labor cost adder.
I am convinced the lack of support is simply stupidity

Never attribute to stupidity that which is malice.
This shite is on purpose.

I wonder if the cops bailed to not have to follow the orders to do nothing or if they bailed because they agree with doing nothing to help ICE.

I'm going to guess it's likely the former. If they agree with doing nothing, they can just stand around on the job collecting a free paycheck for doing nothing. So far there is no guarantee anyone has their back if they decide to follow their conscience and do anything, so better to just remove themselves from the situation altogether. If it were me, I'd be using the free time to brush my resume up for a department that cares.

Same thing is happening in the UK. Para-medics who ride to emergency calls refuse to go without police escourt in some towns (due to violent immigrants). The cops can't help them since they are so short-handed. "Sorry, your 999 call cannot be answered today."

And the town will be sued because the areas they dont go into are not only violent but black/arabic/muslim.....and the taxypayers will be screwed again.
