You aren't taking into account that if the military turns on its own people, it will be crippled by desertion. - split from within. By time we reach that boiling point, a number of states will have told the federal government to frick off and seceded. The National Guards of those respective states will be on the state's side. The fight won't be one sided, with only one side having a highly trained fighting force and the other side having a bunch of baws.
The biggest advantage the feds would have is WMDs, and will they be able to use them?

Again, the civil war proves you wrong. I have military kids and interact with a lot of their friends on base, don’t underestimate how complete that military training is.

Meh..... I 100% agree that unrest is coming here if we allow the progressive commies continue to destroy our nation, I'm just not sure when.... Americans are spoiled and generally unaware of the real facts, because many still drink the progressive commie propaganda of MSM. A couple of drastic changes that affects

I have a son stationed in San Diego. I too, have interacted with many of his friends, and have lived with many current and retired military members in Jacksonville, for many years. They all took an oath to defend the Constitution, against enemies foreign AND domestic, not their commanding officer.
The Civil War saw many people switch sides. The existence of the Confederate Army shows that people will choose and switch sides. In today's world of instant communication, the number of people switching sides will be much higher.
By the time we get to a point where the military is going door to door, we will be in a Constitutional Crisis and many military folks will conflicted. Texas/Florida and other states will probably have seceded. There will be standoff between local police and the military in many areas, and although the military may have a firepower/training advantage, it will be bad optics for them.
Let me ask you this: If you and/or your neighbors were shot and killed during one of these house to house raids, would your kids continue to fight for the government that killed you? I know my son wouldn't.
You should read "Liberty's Last Stand" by Stephen Coonts. It's fiction, but he is ex-military and has a good understanding of the politics and relationships between the pentagon, politicians, and state governments. Forgetting about how the book ends, he paints a realistic picture of how it plays out when you have a federal government that decides to disarm its population and nobody backs down.

No but I do wonder what im gonna do if a fleet of armed enforcers come for my guns. I have 5 kids and a wife, if I have to choose then game over. Not letting my kids get blasted. The alternative to that is that I'm sure if kamala did her stupid EO to take the guns and Supreme Court didn't block it then we'd be forming armies far before they came to take them door to door. It's an impossible endeavor to begin w.

That is not socialism. That is State Capitalism. You know, where the state owns all means of production and decides what you get. See USSR, Romania circa pre 1990's, N Korea and many other examples.
