Supreme Court sides with Catholic foster agency that excludes same-sex couples in 9-0 ruling.

Even the shitty liberal activist and lukewarm milquetoast "conservatives" couldn't disagree on this one.

I almost can't believe this happened. Seems to be very out of touch with the rest of politics these days.

I am grateful that the Honorable and Venerable Antonin Scalia did not have to sit through this one. You know he would have torn some asses apart on this one.

LINK

Really terrible shite that the City of Philadelphia tried to do here by excluding Catholic relief from helping with foster children.

God cannot be happy with these people.

God forgive this country.

Looking at this 9-0 decision and the decision to dismiss the Odumbf*ckCare decision on a bullsh!t standing issue (if the states don't have standing then who the f*ck does?), I get the bad feeling that there is A LOT of dealmaking going on behind the scenes at the Supreme Court. THAT is not how our judiciary is suppose to work.

I really hope you're wrong but something tells me sadly this is more right than wrong.

The desire to protect his DC perception seems to be the only actual "principle" Roberts possesses.

They need to do something about divorces favoring women.
Dads should get presumption in custody battles for the boy. If my parents had divorced and my dad got me I'd be the same as I am today.
If mom got me I'd be a total lunatic today.

Did you read the majority opinion? It basically hinged on a provision in the city's contract that allows the city to override certain agency determinations. SCOTUS ruled that such a provision made the nondiscrimination policy in the contract no longer neutral or general and thus didn't meet strict scrutiny.

Basically, the city can change a single override provision in the contract and move forward with excluding the Catholic foster agency, CSS, from future contracts.

This isn't some big win for religious liberty.

Well, I would say the parent who is most capable of taking care of them should retain custody. It need not always be the woman.

The word is 'presumptive'. It means tie goes to dad for boys. The mom would have to prove dad is a total jackass. Right now dad has to prove mom is a drug addicted whore.

That makes a lot more sense.
